Join us for a week in one of the most magical places on Earth as we reconnect with ourselves, one another, and God through rest, play, movement, journaling, creating, group Spiritual Direction, adventuring, dancing, and EATING!

Melissa and I find ourselves returning again and again to this idea of what it means to be mothered by God. What softens in us when experience ourselves wrapped in God’s embrace? What dormant creativity comes alive in us when we are connected to the life-giving Spirit of God? What joy spills out of us when we experience ourselves seen, known, and loved by the One who is familiar with all our ways? Knowing, and being known like this, is not some intellectual exercise but an earthy, bodily, embodied one.

While Melissa and I have led many a yoga retreat, this one will be different as we follow the creative longings God is stirring in each of us. Yes, there will be daily yoga-like movement, but there will also be space for going so much deeper to replenish the weary and depleted places within us. There will be more space for silence and more space for rich conversations. More invitations to get in touch with our inherent creativity and more invitations to dance.

We’re believing there are a dozen other women out there for whom this kind of retreat is perfectly designed. We can’t wait to spend the week with you!

    This is where Melissa and I stay and honestly, we love them. They’re bamboo bungalows tucked behind the pool with an outdoor shower and bathroom. Not super fancy but we both notice something glorious happen by the time the week ends and we realize we’ve been essentially outside the entire time.

All the Details

Where: Villa Amalia in Amfilochia, Greece

The nearest airport is Preveza International Airport (PVK) about 45 minutes away. Alternatively, you can fly into Athens which is about a 3 1/2 hour drive away. Transportation to the villa is not included, but we can help arrange group transport from either airport if needed. In the past, folks have also joined together and rented cars – it’s a fun and beautiful drive!

When: September 7-13, 2025

You are welcome to arrive anytime after 4pm on September 7. We’ll begin with a group movement practice at 5:30pm. Departure is at 10:30am on September 13.

What to expect each day: We’ll spend four of our five full days together at the villa. There will be a loose schedule for each day that will include movement, silence, creating, and group Spiritual Direction. Everything is optional! The villa also has paddle boards and kayaks for you to use as well as a fabulous masseuse who you can book for a one-hour massage. One day we’ll all head into Lefkada, the nearest big town, for a day of shopping, cafe-hopping, and a swim at the beach.

What’s included: Accommodations, food, and activities for the entire time you’re at the villa. What’s not included is transportation to/from the villa, massages, and any shopping you desire to do in Lefkada.

A $500 deposit is required at registration. These deposits are non-refundable and the balance of payment is due by August 1, 2025.
